How to make caramel apples

Who doesn’t love a good ole’ caramel apple? Although caramel apples could be enjoyed anytime of the year, Fall seems to be the best time! There are so many ways to make caramel apples, but here is an easy way with very few steps and ingredients. 

Ingredients

  1. Premade caramels (15 oz)
  2. Heavy whipping cream (3 tbsp)
  3. Apples (6-7)
  4. Candy apple sticks
  5. Yummy toppings such as, mini marshmallows, mini M&M’s, sprinkles, mini chocolate chips, crushed cookies, chopped peanuts, and the list could go on!

Steps

  1. Lay out a sheet of parchment paper on a baking sheet
  2. Have toppings in little bowls and ready to go
  3. Wash your apples and place a candy apple stick in the middle 
  4. Melt the caramels and heavy whipping cream together in a microwave safe bowl for 2-3 minutes. Stirring about every 30 seconds. 
  5. Dip the apples in the caramel and allow any excess caramel to drip off and then immediately cover with the desired topping
  6. Set the apples upright on the parchment paper and place them in the fridge for around 30 minutes for the caramel to set
  7. ENJOY!!
