New School Year, New Goals!

It’s a new school year, which means new goals. Whether you are a teacher, student, or a parent we all have goals. Here are some tips to help you and/or your child(ren) reach your goals.

  1. Write out your goals. Write it out even if you don’t feel as if it is realistic or not. Seeing your goals on a daily basis will help you remember to keep working hard.
  2. Make the goals specific. For example, don’t say that you want to spend more time on homework, say I will spend 2 hours a night on homework.
  3. Separate your goals into immediate and long-term goals. Now that you have written your goals out, look at them to see which ones would be considered long term and which ones would be immediate.
  4. Make deadlines for your goals. Write out specific dates that you would like to accomplish each one.
  5. Have a positive attitude. You will achieve great things with a positive attitude.
