|The 4th of July may look different this year, but if the last few months have taught us anything, it’s to appreciate the little things. As we celebrate our independence, my mind shifts to those little things. So, I wanted to share a list of ways you can commemorate the holiday. Maybe one of these will start a new tradition for you!|
Give blood – Donors are needed now more than ever. Call your local donation center to learn about enhanced safety protocols, how to schedule an appointment and what you can expect when you get there.
Support a local food pantry – Take the money you’d spend on a typical 4th of July celebration, and give it to a local food pantry.
Celebrate at home – With some creativity and a few household items, you can have a family celebration in your own backyard.
Support a local restaurant – Order delivery or take-out from a local place you haven’t tried yet. Get the full holiday picnic experience by setting the spread out on your deck or a blanket on your lawn.
Thank your local heroes – If you have friends or family that are first responders, frontline healthcare workers, or other essential employees, send them a thank you note!Stay healthy. Stay safe. And have a wonderful 4th of July!
