Halloween Events in the OKC Metro Area!

Are you looking for ways to entertain your kiddoes the next few days or enjoy the Halloween holiday a little more? Here are few exciting, family friendly and some FREE events happening in the Oklahoma City and Edmond metro area this week leading up to Halloween! 

Oct. 23 – 30

Storybook Forest at Arcadia Lake (7200 # 15th St, Edmond) features a fun, not-scary trail filled with roaming characters. Additional activities include hayrides, games and a campfire for roasting hot dogs and marshmallows. Weekdays, $8; weekends, $10. 5:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Oct. 24

FREE Fall Bash at SpringHIll Suites OKC Quail Springs (3201 W Memorial Rd) features trunk-or-treating and activities for kids as well as an art show. 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

FREE Mall-O-Ween at Penn Square Mall (1900 NW Expressway) features indoor trick-or-treating at participating retailers and a costume contest. Costumes are welcome but only during event hours. 6 – 8 p.m.

Oct. 25

FREE Escape Transylvania at the Midwest City Library (8143 E Reno Ave, Midwest City). Discover clues, solve puzzles, and open the lock to escape Dracula’s castle. For ages 12 – 18. 4 – 5 p.m.

FREE Spike’s Spooktacular Fall Festival at Sam Noble Oklahoma Museum of Natural History (2401 Chautauqua Ave, Norman). Explore the galleries while hunting for prizes, snap a photo with props at the photo booth, get your face painted or create the perfect fall craft. Kid-friendly costumes are encouraged. 4 – 7 p.m.

FREE Fall Festival at Crow’s Corral at Lake Thunderbird State Park (13101 Alameda Dr, Norman) features face painting, games with prizes, popcorn, cotton candy and other treats. 5:30 – 7 p.m.

FREE Trick or Treat at Oklahoma City University’s Walker Hall (1829 Noble Dr) features a free indoor trick-or-treat alternative. 6 – 8 p.m.

Haunt the Harn at Harn Homestead (1721 N Lincoln Blvd) features trick or treating, face painting, pumpkin bowling, a cupcake walk, hay ride and more. $5 in advance or $7 at the gate. 6:30 – 8:30 p.m.

OSU Symphony Orchestra’s Halloween Pops Concert at The Seretean Center for the Performing Arts (132 Seretean Center for the Performing Arts, Stillwater) features music from Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Pirates of the Caribbean and Wicked. Attendees can also enjoy an instrument petting zoo and a costume contest. $10; students & seniors: $7. 7:30 – 8:30 p.m.

Oct. 25 & 26

Scary Tales at the Henry Overholser Mansion (405 NW 15th St) features spooky stories about Oklahoma history. This tour also explores areas of the mansion not typically open during daily tours. This event is family-friendly, but ghost stories will be told. $25. 7 – 9 p.m.

Oct. 26

FREE Autumn Jamboree at Infant Crisis Services (4224 N Lincoln Blvd) features free food, games, raffle prizes, and a petting zoo as well as a performance by Spaghetti Eddie. Costumes encouraged. 1 – 3 p.m.

FREE Fall Fest at Westminster Presbyterian Church (4400 N Shartel Ave) features Features trunk-or-treat, games, half-mile costume walk and food. In the event of rain, activities will be held in the basement of the church. Costume walk, $5. 5 – 7 p.m.

FREE Fall Festival at Church of the Servant (14343 N MacArthur) featuresa trunk-or-treat, carnival games, a costume contest, inflatables, face painting, balloon animals, a cake walk and more. The evening will conclude with a fireworks display. A hot dog dinner, cotton candy and popcorn will be available for minimal cost. Children should bring their treat bags to collect candy and prizes. Dress up encouraged, but no scary costumes please. Families are encouraged to bring donations of diapers or wipes for Infant Crisis Services. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Halloween Movie at the Norman Central Library (225 N Webster Ave, Norman) features a screening of the classic 1982 horror film Poltergeist, written by Steven Spielberg. Movie is rated PG. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Fall Fest in Downtown Norman (Main St, Norman) features trick-or-treating, costume contests for adults, kids and pets, moon bounces, activities and more. 6 – 9 p.m.

Halloween Carnival at St. Charles Borromeo Catholic School (5000 N Grove St, Warr Acres) features carnival games, haunted house and food. All activities take place indoors. Free to attend. 6 – 9 p.m.

Halloween Forensic Night at Skeletons: Museum of Osteology (10301 S Sunnylane Rd) features hands-on activities to learn to “read” the features of a human skull to determine: age, sex, physical trauma and/or illness. Detective costumes encouraged. All Forensic activities involve replica human skulls cast from real trauma cases. Personal discretion is advised. $35. 6 – 9 p.m.

FREE Fall Carnival at Crossings Community Church (14600 N Portland Ave) features inflatables, a trackless train, food trucks, a jitterbug swing, a mega cakewalk, face painting, tattoos, games, candy and more. Family friendly costumes are encouraged. 6 – 9 p.m.

Family Fun Night at Tot Town (841 SW 119th St) features pumpkin decorating, trick-or-treating, a monster dance party followed by a family friendly movie. Pizza dinner options available. Preregister. $10 per child; pumpkins, $2; pizza, $1 per slice. 6 – 9 p.m.

Moonlight Masquerade Family Dance at the 12th Avenue Recreation Center (1701 12th NE, Norman) features a special night for families to celebrate Halloween together. Costumes encouraged and refreshments are included. Preregister. Tickets must be purchased in advance. $10. Two dances: 6 – 7:30 p.m. and 8 – 9:30 p.m.

Late Night Labs: Haunted Whodunnit at Science Museum Oklahoma (2020 Remington Pl). There’s a mystery in the museum that needs to be solved! The group will solve the crime using fingerprints, blood types and other clues. Attendees can also explore Science Live and Kirkpatrick Planetarium shows and all of the museum’s permanent exhibits. Family-friendly costumes are welcome. Members, $18; nonmembers, $20. 6 – 10 p.m.

Trail of Fears at Little River Park (700 SW 4th St, Moore) features a haunted trail through the woods of Little River Park with terror lurking around each corner. Best suited for kids 12 and up. Children 11 or younger must be accompanied by an adult. Tickets must be purchased in advance. $7.50. 8 – 11 p.m.

Oct. 27

FREE Spooktacular in Downtown El Reno (Main St, El Reno) features a costume contest, trick or treating, prizes and more. 9 – 11 a.m.

Turn the Town Upside Down at the National Cowboy & Western Heritage Museum (1700 NE 63rd St) features fantasy and imaginative, kid-friendly activities including sampling sarsaparilla in the Silver Dollar Saloon, visit the Fleming Mercantile for peppermint sticks and salt water taffy and more. Costumes encouraged. $5. Museum or Oklahoma Children’s Theatre’s members, free. 10 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Halloween on the Green at Will Rogers Gardens (3400 NW 36th St). Take a walk down a faerie tale trail with fun characters handing out candy. After the trail, attendees can decorate sugar skulls, get their face painted and pot a plant. No registration required. All ages welcome. $5. 10 a.m  – 2 p.m.

FREE Bethany Boo Bash at the Bethany City Hall (6700 NW 36th St) features live music, pumpkin decorating, a costume contest, trick or treating, and more. 11 a.m. – 2 p.m.

Trick ORR Treat at the Farm at Orr Family Farm (14400 S Western Ave) features trick or treating, a screening of The Great Pumpkin movie and bonfires in addition to the farm’s attractions. Costumes encouraged. FREE with admission.10 a.m. – 9 p.m.

Gypsy Glam Roadshow Fall Festival at Tony’s Tree Plantation (3801 S Post Rd) features  trick-or-treating for children and dogs, a pooch parade with prizes, make and take art, cake walk, clowns, balloons, face painting, pumpkin decorating, games, prizes, animal rescues, food trucks and shopping with local Oklahoma businesses. Admission and parking is free. Costumes encouraged for children and pets. 11 a.m. – 3 p.m.

FREE Treats at the Square at the Châtenay Square (10600 S Penn Ave) features trick-or-treating, bounce houses and face painting. Costumes welcome. 2 – 4 p.m.

FREE Trick or Treat City at the Joe B. Barnes Regional Park (Reno Ave & Douglas Blvd, Midwest City) has a Candy Village and a carnival featuring crafts, games and inflatables. Children are encouraged to wear costumes. Candy Village, FREE; carnival tickets available for purchase. 2 – 4:30 p.m.

Spooksville at the Yukon Community Center (2200 S Holly Ave, Yukon) features a dog costume contest, kids costume contest, carnival area with games, clowns, magicians and lots of treats. Costumes encourages. Kids, $3; adults, free. 2 – 6 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at Variety Care’s Britton Health Center (721 W Britton Rd) features decorated trunks along with games and refreshments. Family-friendly costumes are welcomed, and treat bags will be provided. 3 – 5 p.m.

FREE Kings & Queens Special Needs Fall Festival at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church (8140 NW 36th St, Bethany) features a sensory-friendly Bible walk, a sensory room, a glow in the dark room and other games.  Costumes are welcome.  Preregister. 3 – 5 p.m.

FREE Haunt the Library at the Moore Library (225 S Howard Ave, Moore) feature an exhibit from the Museum of Osteology, crafts, snow cones, photo booth, games and more. All ages welcome, costumes encouraged. 4 – 7 p.m.

FREE Haunt Old Town in Moore (Broadway Ave, Moore) features family fun activities including trick-or-treating, inflatables, games, music & candy. 4 – 7 p.m.

Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Party at Unpluggits Paint & Play (575 Enterprise Dr, Edmond) features egular Unpluggits activities plus face painting, Halloween games, prizes and crafts.. Costumes encouraged. $5. 4 – 7 p.m.

Northwest Optimist Fall Festival at Dolese Youth Park (5105 NW 50th St) features free trunk-or-treating as well as a costume contest, bounce houses, carnival games, face painting and free popcorn and cotton candy, while supplies last. All activities included in the wristband can be purchased individually. Trunk or Treat, free; activity wristband, $5. 4 – 8 p.m.

FREE Festifall at Southmoore Baptist Church (3801 S Broadway St, Moore) features inflatables, carnival games, prizes and hot dogs for the first 200 guests. Costumes welcome. 5 – 7 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat in the Park at Mitch Park (1501 W Covell Rd, Edmond) features decorated vehicles and candy for kids in a safe & fun environment. Costumes encouraged. 5 – 7:30 p.m.

FREE Fall Fun Night at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church (8140 NW 36th St) features a Bible Walk, trunk-or-treating, games and pumpkin chunkin. 6 – 7:30 p.m.

FREE Tractors & Treats at First Southern Baptist Church (6400 S Sooner Rd) features a treat trail for the whole family with candy, prizes and costumes. Costumes encouraged. Activities with take place indoors. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Hall-o-ween Extravagnza at Central Presbyterian Church (5101 N May Ave) features a night of indoor trick-or-treating, Halloween games, and a FREE chili dinner, while supplies last. Please, no scary costumes. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Outdoor Movie at RIVERSPORT Adventures (800 Riversport Dr) features a screening of Hocus Pocus. Kids can enjoy free s’mores and Halloween candy. 7 p.m.

Spook N’ Roll Halloween Party at Skate Galaxy (5800 NW 36th St) features a costume contest with prizes, festive decorations, music and more. Costumes encouraged. $12. 7 p.m. – midnight.

Red Dirt Halloween Drive-in Extravaganza at the Beacon Drive-In (2404 S Division St, Guthrie) features the showing of Halloween movies on a huge 40’ movie screen, drive-in style. Attendees can also enjoy raffles, music, concessions, pre-movie activities, vendors, costumed actors and prizes. Benefits the 6th Annual Red Dirt Film Festival. $5-$65. 7 – 10 p.m.

Oct. 27 – 28

Haunt the Zoo at the Oklahoma City Zoo (2101 NE 50th St) features photo opportunities, fantasy-themed booths & trick-or-treating. Costumes encouraged. Adults can dress up too but nothing too scary, please. Trick-or-treat bags, $7; members, $6. Saturday & Sunday, 9 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Halloween Train at the Oklahoma Railway Museum (3400 NE Grand Blvd) features a Halloween train ride, moon bounce and miniature golf. Smiley O’Riley from Dental Depot will be handing out goodie bags to all of the children. Costumes encouraged. Train rides: 13 & up, $12, kids (3-12), $5; kids (under 3), FREE. 9 a.m. – 5 p.m.

Oct. 27 – 31

HallowMarine at the Oklahoma Aquarium (300 Aquarium Dr, Jenks) features an indoor trick-or-treat trail, games, inflatables, PeeWee Pirate Zone, treasure hunt and mermaid and pirate dive shows plus, all the exhibits are open. Children (3-12), $7; adults, $10; kids (2 & under), FREE. 6:30 – 9 p.m. nightly.

Oct. 28

FREE Day of the Dead Festival in the Plaza District (1745 NW 16th St) features a festive tribute to the Latino holiday. Activities include a parade, art, dancing, music, vendors, food, group art show, annual La Catrina Procession and more. 1 – 7 p.m.

FREE Magic Lantern Celebration in the Paseo Arts Distrtict (Paseo Ave). Children of all ages are invited to “come as they are” and transform themselves with the help of local artists and join in on a costume parade on the labyrinth painted on the street. 3 – 6:15 p.m.

Fall Festival at Winners Church (16000 N Western Ave, Edmond) features games for all ages, decorated trunks full of candy, costume contest, classic car show, music and giveaways. 4 – 6 p.m.

Not-Too-Spooky Halloween Party at Unpluggits Paint & Play (575 Enterprise Dr, Edmond). Enjoy regular Unpluggits activities plus games, crafts, slime and color lab, face painting and prizes. Costumes encouraged. $5 at the door; current passholder, free. 6 – 7 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church (10600 N Council Rd) features moon bounces, cupcake walk, police cars and fire trucks as well as trunks filled with treats. 5 – 7 p.m.

Yukon’s Mummy & Son Masquerade at the Jackie Cooper Gym (1024 E Main, Yukon) features carnival games, costume contest, hot dogs, spooky music and lots of candy for boys ages 4-12 & their “mummies.” $4 in advance; $5 the day of the event. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at New Covenant United Methodist Church (2700 S Boulevard, Edmond) features a family friendly evening with plenty of candy, decorated trunks, games, inflatables, music and free food. Costumes encouraged. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at Lake Overholser Church of the Nazarene (3900 E Overholser Dr, Bethany) features decorated cars, games, inflatables, popcorn, candy and more. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at St. Matthew United Methodist Church (300 N Air Depot Blvd, Midwest City) features trick or treating, story time in the pumpkin patch and more. 6 – 8 p.m.

Oct. 29

FREE Brick or Treat in Bricktown (Reno & Mickey Mantle) features trick or treating at more than 40 Bricktown businesses, a pumpkin-painting station and SNL photo booth. 4 – 7 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at Quail Springs United Methodist Church (14617 N Penn Ave) features trunk-or-treating, pumpkin decorating and costume contests, candy, games and a chili cook-off. Costumes encouraged. All ages welcome. 6 – 8 p.m.

Mummy & Son Masquerade at Jackie Cooper Gym (1024 E Main St, Yukon) features a fun evening of carnival games, costume contest, hot dogs, spooky music and lots of candy for boys ages 4 – 12 & their mummy. $4 in advance, $5 day of. 6 – 8 p.m.

Oct. 30

FREE Halloween Story Time at the Moore Library (225 N Howard Ave) features themed songs, stories, crafts, music and more. Costume welcome. 10 – 11 a.m.

FREE Dress Up Party and Parade at the Northwest Library (5600 NW 122 St). Kids can play dress up and join in on a parade. Attendees can also enjoy a story and fall crafts. Wear your own costume or try on one of the library’s. Best suited for ages 5 & under. 10 – 11 a.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at J.D. McCarty Center (2002 E Robinson St, Norman) features a free trunk-or-treat event with cool cars. Costumes are encouraged. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at Norman Parks & Recreation (201 W Gray St, Bldg C, Norman) features a family fun night of trunk or treating, food trucks and more. 6:30 – 8 p.m.

FREE Halloween Craft at Southern Oaks Library (6900 S Walker Ave) features crafts and family-friendly activities for all ages. 6:30 – 8 p.m.

FREE Norman North Spooktacular at Norman North High School (1809 Stubbeman, Norman) features 50 plus decorated rooms and free candy for kids up to 10 years old. Costumes welcome. 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Oct. 31

FREE Trunk or Treat and Fall Festival at Memorial Road Church of Christ(2221 E Memorial Rd Edmond, OK 73013) features decorated car trunks and treating. 6:15 – 7:30 p.m. Join us for the annual Fall Festival and Trunk or Treat in the Summit Gym and the north parking lot of the Summit! Children 3 years through 6th grade can dress up and participate in carnival-like booths and a moon bounce. Trunk-or-Treat is in the parking lot directly outside.

FREE Spooktacular Storytime and Parade at the Downtown Library (300 Park Ave) features story time and a costume parade. Preregister. Best suited for age 5 & under. 10 – 11 a.m.

FREE Trick-or-Treat at Northpark Mall (122nd & N May). Select stores will be handing out candy. Costumes welcome. 3 – 5 p.m.

FREE Haunt the Hill On Calle Dos Cinco in the Historic Capitol Hill District (SW 25th St between Hudson & Robinson) features safe trick-or treating including business booths offering free games and goodies. 5 – 8 p.m.

FREE Halloween Arts Spectacular at The Station at Central Park (700 S Broadway Ave, Moore) features a Halloween-themed art making time including drawing, painting, candy and treats. Costumes encouraged. Children under 6 must be accompanied by an adult. 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at Mary Mahoney Memorial Health Center (12716 NE 36th St) features a trunk-or-treat outside and haunted house inside. 5:30 – 7:30 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at Wickline Church (417 Mid-America Blvd, Midwest City) features decorated trunks and treats. 6 – 7:30 p.m.

FREE Trunk-or-Treat at Western Hills Fellowship Church of God, Int’l (11501 N Western Ave) features games, a cupcake walk, candy and more. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at McLoud Connect Church (1129 W. Broadway Ave, McLoud) features decorated vehicles and lots of candy. Costumes welcome. 6 – 8 p.m.

Fall Festival Hallelujah Party at Lincoln Park Senior Center (4712 Martin Luther King Ave) features an indoor event with games, prizes, giveaways, food, cakes, a moon bounce, face painting, music and candy. All ages welcome. 6 – 8 p.m.

FREE Trunk or Treat at St. Augustine of Canterbury Episcopal Church (14700 N May Ave) features an evening of trunk-or-treating. Attendees can also enjoy hotdogs, chips, & drinks. 6:30 – 8 p.m.

Halloween Shindig at Skeletons Museum of Osteology (10301 S Sunny lane Rd) features a spooky, but not too spooky party with scavenger hunts, owl pellet dissection station, Halloween-themed crafts, live animals and trick-or-treating stations. The Oklahoma City Zoo will be at the museum from 6 – 7:30 p.m. Costumes encouraged. $6; dissection kits, $5. 6 – 9 p.m.
