Happy Father’s Day

“He never looks for praises
He’s never one to boast
He just goes on quietly working
For those he loves the most
His dreams are seldom spoken
His wants are very few
And most of the time his worries
Will go unspoken too
He’s there…. A firm foundation
Through all our storms of life
A sturdy hand to hold to
In times of stress and strife
A true friend we can turn to
When times are good or bad
One of our greatest blessings,
The man that we call Dad.”
– Karen K. Boyer

Father’s day is here, which means the Sunday service will be about fathers, we’ll go eat lunch wherever he wants (he’ll probably make some lame joke about the food), and then we’ll finally let him take a nap with no interruptions. It’s a day all about him. It’s on this day that we choose to honor dad and put him on a pedestal. We thank him for all of the the pep talks, warm hugs, and the great advice he’s provided over the years. It’s today that we really let dad know how much we really appreciate him. We ask you to take a minute today to personally thank your dad (or whoever filled that role) for all they taught you and all the love they showed you. If your father is no longer with us, we ask you take a moment to think back and appreciate all he did for you. Happy Father’s day!

Blessings,
-Kim, Terra, and Kiley
