Edmond Farmer’s Market Opening This Saturday!
Stop by the Festival Market Place this Saturday morning between 8AM – 1PM for some of Edmond’s freshest foods around! Local vendors will bring a variety of foods, produce, products, and pastries. Below are just a handful of options you’ll have to choose from when you visit!
1. Chapel Creek Winery
Chapel Creek offers a free one once sample of wine made from 100% Oklahoma grapes! Top sellers include white zinfandel and peach chardonnay.
2. Granny Had One Catering
All from the family farm in Guthrie, this business offers homemade pies, cookies, sweet breakfast breads, raw honey, farm fresh eggs, and other produce. They’re mostly known for their delicious 9-inch pies that taste just like the ones grandma used to make!
3. Dreamcatcher Farm
Stop by this vendor for a delicious jar of salsa! Dee Sporn makes her fresh, homemade “Mamma Dee’s” salsa in four flavors — mild, medium, pretty hot, and you asked for it. Free samples are available to help you decide how much spice you can handle!
4. Tall Girl Specialty Pasta
This pasta is to die for! It’s so good, sauce is not required. Flavors include white, wheat, tomato, tomato basil, spainch, wheat spinach, lemon basil and a cracked pepper that adds a little “kick”.
5. Healthy Living Farm
Here you will find a broad variety of naturally grown produce free of chemicals. Toni Davis, owner of Healthy Living Farm, provides not only fresh produce, but potted plants, flowers, and colorful flower bouquets.
6. Dead Coyote Hill Garden
This is another vendor with simple and fresh produce to enjoy. The owner, Marilyn Barton, has the motto, “We grow real food for real people.” It doesn’t get much better than that!
7. Marak Family Farm
This farm has been in operation since 1912 by the Marak Family. This non-homogenized, low-temerature pasteurized whole milk comes straight from grass fed cows and is bottled for you to take home and enjoy. They provide juicy tomatoes and purple potatoes as well!
8. Renrick Farming Gardens
Renricks is one of the largest natural growers of perennials in the state of Oklahoma. With over 600 different types, you’re sure to find your favorite type of flower!
9. Bavarian Pretzel
Last but not least, stop by this booth for a ready-made sandwich using homemade artisian bread! Samples of bread are also available to try as well as imported and domestically-made meats and cheeses for purchase.
