Happy St. Patrick’s Day! This day only occurs once a year on March 17. Did you know it is a day in observance of the death of St. Patrick? He was the patron saint of Ireland. Saint Patrick’s Day can also be called the Feast of Saint Patrick. This started a long time ago approximately in AD 385–461, the 17th century. Originally people said it was a commemoration of the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. People across the world also see it as a religious feast day, but now it has evolved into a variety of festivals across the globe celebrating Irish culture with parades, green specialty foods, music, dancing, céilithe, shamrocks, Irish beer, Irish whiskey, and a whole lot of green decor and clothing!
