4 Exterior Updates to Increase Your Home Value

One of the most important aspects to consider when selling your home are updates that will significantly increase the resale value. However, many out there are unsure of what to update to give them the biggest bang for their buck.  First impressions of your home begin right when the potential buyer pulls into your driveway.  Considering the following updates that will encourage buyers to go ahead and take a look inside:

1. The Front Door

The front door is the focal point for each person viewing the home. Adding a pop of color or investing in an attractive, solid wood door is an excellent way to attract buyers. 

2. Outdoor Lighting

Adding some outdoor lighting not only enhances the house after dark, but provides a safer environment to be outside after the sun goes down. This also helps to keep burglars away which is an added bonus for potential buyers.

3. Wash the Sides

Cleaning up the exterior of the home will make a huge difference! Do some cleaning on the sidings of your house and get rid of dirt and leaves on the roof.  Take it a step even further and repaint the trim!
