These cute, cozy household must-haves are a great way to create that living room environment you’re looking for! See below for no-fail tips on how to choose pillows and find that perfect arrangement:
- Don’t overdo it! There shouldn’t be anymore than three pillows to a cushion. Too many can appear overwhelming and will not allow for enough space for your guests to sit comfortably.
- Multiple sizes draw one’s eyes to your couch. Choosing sizes larger than the 18″ x 18″ standard pillow as well as small rectangular pillows adds diversity.
- Mixing up the prints is another fun way to style your couch. For every two pillows with texture or pattern, add a solid pillow into the mix!
- Pillow location makes a difference! The best way to start is on the outside and work your way in. Note: your pillows don’t always have to be symmetrical. I find that I like the random sizes and number of pillows rather than same size, same number.
