How To Remove Grease Spots From Cement
Grease stains on your concrete garage or driveway are not pretty, but removing them is much easier than you think! Follow these simple steps below:
- You will first want to cover the stain with sawdust or cornmeal to help absorb the grease. You should let it set for three hours.
- Cover each area with acetone nail polish remover or paint thinner and leave it for about an hour. It will soak in.
- Sprinkle cat litter (must be clay-based) or powdered laundry detergent and press firmly on the stain with a shovel or your foot and leave it overnight.
- Use a shovel or broom to clean up the area. If the stain is still present, sprinkle more laundry detergent over it and pour boiling water over the stain. Scrub with a large brush and the stain should be all gone!
You now have a spotless garage floor and driveway! Remember, it is best to protect your hands with rubber gloves during the process to avoid skin contact and irritation.
