Fun and Firework shows!!!

This beautiful weather and summer sun couldn’t feel any better. There are multiple activities around the area to help gear up for the weekend! We would like to give you a heads up for a few of the events we have found thanks to Metro Family Magazine!  Most of the activities listed are family friendly and FREE!

 

July 3 (Friday)

 

FREE Newcastle Independence Day Celebration at Veterans Park (NW 10th & Veterans Pkwy, Newcastle) presents a 4th of July celebration with music, food, bounce houses and fireworks. Entertainment begins at 6 p.m. and a fireworks display kicks off at dusk.

FREE Red, White & Boom! Independence Day Concert at State Fair Park is the OKC Philharmonic’s gift to the community. The entire family can enjoy a FREE concert followed by a spectacular fireworks display. Bring lawn chairs and enjoy the show. Entry & parking are FREE. Concert begins at 8:30 p.m.; fireworks, 10 p.m.

FREE Blanchard’s Independence Celebration (NE 10th & N Council, Blanchard) features fireworks, food, live music and special activities just for kids including a petting zoo, pony rides and inflatables. Begins at 6 p.m. with fireworks show at 10 p.m.

 

The 4th (Saturday)

 

FREE Cajun Festival at the Grove Civic Center in Grove features Cajun music, food, dancing, arts & craft vendors and more. 10 a.m.

 

FREE Concert and Fireworks Show at Bricktown 4th Fest (Various locations) features fireworks immediately following the Dodgers game and the band Nicnos in concert. 8pm.

FREE 4th of July Stars & Stripes Funfest Celebration at the Expo Event Center (4500 US-270, McAlester) features live entertainment, games, fireworks and more. 5:30-10 p.m. Fireworks at dusk.
