Easy fix for cracks in neutral tile
Last week, I was at an inspection and learned something new about repairing tile cracks; therefore, I had to share it with you. The inspector told the buyers that the hairline cracks in the tile were normal movement and not to worry. He then proceeded to get down on his knees and color the crack with a white out pen. Right after he traced the crack, he wiped the white off away with his finger and followed wiping it off with a paper towel. He said to do it 3 or 4 times and the white out would build up in the crack and the crack would visually disappear. The picture above shows the crack all the way across the corner of the tile and one coat of white out on the left side of the crack. If your tile isn’t a shade of white he suggested going to Lowes or Home Depot and buying a tile caulk/grout in a tube with the correct color and follow the same steps. Good luck!
