RED DAY Recap

The Red Team just celebrated Red Day!  Renew, Energize, and Donate! This is the theme of the day when we choose to give back to our community.  One of our owners, Mo Anderson, is the reason for this tradition! Keller Williams offices across the country wanted to honor Mo on her birthday by following her great example and giving back to the community. So for several years we have chosen to select the second Thursday in May each year to volunteer our time, money, and resources to help others. Our office had four projects and almost every agent got to give back where they live!

This year about 25 of our realtors and staff went to the campus of Special Care and we spent the morning with
about 120 students and all of their teachers and staff.  Several of these sweet children are special needs children. We put on a carnival for them to celebrate springtime!  God blessed us with perfect weather! We had two huge moon bouncers and a third which was an airplane maze for the children, and even adults to play in and crawl through.  We had facepainting, tatooes and pin the tail on the donkey. The children especially loved our  games and a fish pond filled with floating ducks.  All the children got to enjoy  the petting zoo and a six pony carousel ride. How exciting to see the thrill of riding on a pony for the first time and actually having a bunny rabbit or goat eat right out of their hands! Chester the Clown was amazing with his balloon animals!

We fed them hamburgers and delicious cupcakes and cookies. It was a blast to sit and eat on a blanket and  make new friends! We were amazed at how wonderful and well behaved  the kids were! They love their teachers and it showed!

Keller Williams gave each teacher or staff member at the school Red Day t-shirts and each child got to take home a Red Day backpack filled with balls, sunglasses, bubbles and lots of other fun goodies!

We had lots of special people who donated time, food, prizes, money, or gave us great deals on all it took to make this day happen! The school received several donations from individuals and organizations.  We thank all of you so very much for caring about others and making this day possible.  We had lots of squeals, giggles, and even a few tears but all in all we had a great time and lots of big smiles.  We’re just big kids so we love this play day we call  Red Day!
