Alzheimer’s Walk- Sat, Sept 17 @ 10AM

Kim, Kiley and I are joining the fight against Alzheimer’s disease, the nation’s sixth-leading cause of death, by participating in Walk to End Alzheimer’s on September 17.  The ceremonies start at 8:30 a.m. at the Bricktown Ballpark and the walk will begin at 10:00a.m. We need your support.  We just started raising money on Monday and already have $200. Please help us make our goal of $500! Next year we hope to double, if not triple, our goal amount. This year, getting a late start, we thought $500 was perfect. Together, we can become an unstoppable force against this devastating disease.

We are walking in honor of “Pop”, also known as James Baxter, Lake, our Grandfather and Father -in-law. Pop suffered from Alzheimer’s.  He passed away this past December, but had a wonderful life! Pop loved church services, listening and singing to all music, laughing, being with his family, having fun with friends, working hard, gardening, eating cookies and drinking coffee.  He touched the lives of many people with his smile and generosity and maintained his sense of humor all the way to the end. He would be so happy we were participating in the walk to support Alzheimers because he took care of two sisters and a brother who also suffered from it.

You can help in two ways:

Join me in the fight
against Alzheimer’s!

OR

Help me reach my goal by giving whatever amount you can.

We hope to make a big contribution in the fight against Alzheimer’s, and we’d be so grateful if you sponsored us.

Your participation in Walk to End Alzheimer’s will help the Alzheimer’s Association to enhance Alzheimer’s care and support and advance critical research for all those affected by this devastating disease. Together, we can reclaim the future for millions!
