Chief Executive magazine, a national publication, moved Oklahoma up eight spots in this year’s rankings, to No. 11 overall. ChiefExecutive.net and magazine targets business leaders across the US. Over 500 chief executive officers were surveyed on criteria ranging from taxation and business regulations to the quality of a state’s workforce and living environment. Lt. Gov. Todd Lamb, who serves as the governor’s secretary of small business, said the ranking shows Oklahoma is on the “cusp of a renaissance. ” Texas is still No. 1 on the list, then North Carolina, Florida, Tennessee and Georgia follow where California is ranked 50th. This is great news and pretty big recognition! Congrats OKLAHOMA!
